A young man who creatively immortalized the newfound respect between Nigeria’s biggest stars Davido and Wizkid after their lengthy beef is smiling all the way to the bank.
This is after Davido, real name David Adedeji Adeleke, got wind of the impressive photo edit that had him and Wizkid ‘harmoniously shoulder to shoulder’ and gifted the editor Sh273,929 (1 million naira).
“The two greatest of all time,” Davido captioned the photo that has since garnered over 26,000 retweets and 9,000 likes on his page and generated a buzz around the creative behind the edit.
In a video that he posted on Instagram of the man celebrating with his kin on receipt of the money, the US-born singer in prayer said his ‘glory will shine’.
“Your glory will shine because of the awesome, grace, and power of Olorun Oba! May you continue to enjoy Ifokanbale, in Jesus’ name,” wrote Davido.
The video has impressively garnered over 1.1 million views.
The two had been in a lengthy power struggle as to who was the better showstopper with their closely monitored moves making headlines over the years as they jostled for the top before quashing it in 2017.
Wizkid grandly gestured to his fans that it was over when he brought Davido on stage during his sold-out homecoming concert dubbed ‘Wizkid: The Concert’ in Lagos on December 24 that year.
They performed to Davido’s hit single ‘FIA’ and shared a hug after the performance, putting an end to the scrimmage that had divided their fans right in the middle.
Proving the war was over, Wizkid was on Davido’s side when he bagged the MAMAs Best Male Artiste gong with the icing being the latter’s announcement on the caption that he was dropping a hit alongside Starboy.
