American pop star Madonna is set to partner with Kenya’s first lady Margaret Kenyatta in her Beyond Zero Campaign.

Madonna said this when she met the first lady at State House Nairobi yesterday.

Describing the Beyond Zero program as a natural course for advocacy, Madonna said her foundations, managed by the Global Philanthropy Group, will work with First Lady Margaret Kenyatta’s Beyond Zero campaign.

She added that this will be in in scaling-up maternal and child health programmes and in initiatives against gender-based violence.

Madonna is recognized globally for her efforts against poverty and health issues in the many countries where she supports charities, foundations and other programmes.

As an entrepreneur and a recording Artist, she is one of the most successful solo artists in the history of billboard Hot 100 Chart.

Madonna is in the country to explore practical programmes that have a transformative impact on vulnerable groups, especially women and children.

She is the founder of several charities and foundations globally including Ray of Hope Foundation. In Africa, she is known for the Raising Malawi Organization, a non-governmental organization that supports vulnerable children.
