On Thursday, November 21, a newspaper journalist working with The Star was found dead inside a police officer’s house.
Eric Oloo is reported to have had deep stab wounds on his forehead, mid-section and the back of his head.
A report by the Daily Nation now indicates that Oloo was beaten to death on Wednesday night, November 20.
On Thursday, November 21 the police arrested suspects in connection to the murder of a journalist attached to The Star newspaper.
A witness who spoke to the publication narrated that the officer attached to Ugunja Police Station, Sabina Kerubo, arrived at around 9 p.m. at her home, with a man believed to be her lover.
The man is said to have been a regular visitor and a chef, who always made special meals for the family.
All this time, Oloo is reported to have been sleeping in his bedroom.
The officer and his lover stayed in the house for a while before leaving and later returning at midnight with a third party, suspected to be the man’s brother.
It is at this point that the two brothers reportedly pulled Oloo out of bed and started beating him up.
Oloo’s time of death has not yet been established.
On Thursday, November 21, Ugunja Deputy OCS Sabina Kerubo and her boyfriend were arrested following the death of the journalist.
The duo had gone missing when Oloo’s body was retrieved from their house in Ugunja with multiple stab wounds.
The officer, who was in the company of her teenage daughter and house help, is reported to have tried to stop the two, with no success.
The two brothers went ahead and took the journalist outside the house and continued beating him before they returned him inside and wiped off the blood from the body and the floor.
