Professor Anyang’ Nyong’o has rubbished reports that his daughter Lupita is HIV Positive.
Nyong’o was responding to a report that was published in the US journal, Houston Chronicle, which claimed that Lupita was living with the virus.
“It is all nonsense!” said Lupita’s father to a local newspaper.
It has further emerged that the article was fabricated from an earlier version which feature a South African star.
Apparently, the authentic piece is the true story of South African Isindigo TV series actress, Lesegfo Motsepe who disclosed her HIV-positive status in 2011.
It is alleged the names were changed in the article to read Lupita Nyong’o.
According to the local daily, the claims on Lupita could have stemmed from Lupita’s role in the TV series, Shuga, where she played Ayira, who juggles two men and later discovers she might have contracted the deadly disease.
