Emerging reports indicate that Chelsea’s new manager Antonio Conte is trying to poach another of Napoli’s top stars away from the club. Apparently, Chelsea has expressed interest acquiring the services of top Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly.

Kalidou Koulibaly

Sky Italy report that the 25-year-old Senegal international is the subject of a £38 million bid from the Blues, while Gianluca De Marzio paper backs up their interest.

The Blues have also been linked with Lazio’s Stefan De Vrij and Roma’s Kostas Manolas.

John Terry will be at Conte’s disposal for his debut season in charge, which should ease the loss of Kurt Zouma, who is currently sidelined with a knee injury.

After falling out with his club over a new deal, Koulibaly is ready to listen to offers from both clubs but Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is determined to land him.

Meanwhile loanee Alexandre Pato, who flopped at Stamford Bridge last season, has completed a move to Villarreal. Unwanted by both Corinthians and Chelsea, this really is last chance saloon for the former wonderkid.

The Brazilian side have sold their 60 per cent stake of his ownership rights in the former AC Milan forward, who now jets off to Spain where he will try to do better than the one goal in two games that he managed at Stamford Bridge.
