Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has refused to rule out a third move for Alvaro Morata after a second bid for the striker was rejected by Real Madrid – although the club are now considering a swoop for former star Romelu Lukaku.
The Italian, speaking after his side’s 3-0 friendly victory over AC Wolfsberger in Austria, was asked about Morata who has rejoined the Spaniards for £23m after they triggered a buyback clause in his contract with Juventus. A first bid of £50m followed by a second of £62.7m from Chelsea have been turned down.
