Kenyan actor Alex Wamatu, popularly known by his stage name Kinyash has recalled a pregnancy drama.
Short love affair
The comedian rolled back his curtains of memories as he looked back on the early days when he started his craft.
Kinyash recounted a short love affair experience when a young lady tried to pin a pregnancy on him to trap and give him responsibilities.
Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, the young man said he was never moved from the first time the woman broke the news.
Threats from lady’s brothers
“I had begun to be famous then, so I was all over the media. I had only known her for a few months, we had a fling, and she returned home in the upcountry. She must have seen how fast I grew in the industry and tried to trap me. Her story and the calculations did not add up at all. She was after my money,” he stated.
The comedian said the woman had gone to the extent of threatening him with her brothers, who demanded that he take responsibility.
Kinyash could not take it anymore and consulted a friend who doubles up as a lawyer to protect his name.
Letter requesting for DNA test
“We wrote a letter asking the young lady to do a DNA test to ascertain the baby was his. When she sent me a picture of the baby, he somehow resembled me, but I was not very convinced because of the dates she gave me,” Kinyash shared.
Since the lady and her brothers knew taking a DNA test would cost her financially with resources she did not have, she stopped nagging him.
The lady and her family could also not do much as they spoke to Kinyash through his lawyer and grew tired of hurling threats at him.
Pinning baby on man who moved to Canada
In a similar story, a lady got pregnant for her boyfriend and pinned the baby on another man based abroad. The lady who got pregnant for her lover knowingly pinned the baby on the man who moved her to Canada.
She had a boyfriend before she knew the man who later married her, but she found herself pregnant before she got engaged, like another woman who found out she was pregnant while planning her white wedding.
She lied and decided to leave her boyfriend, who got her pregnant, pitched her tent with the new man, and pinned the baby on him.
