Four police officers accused of taking part in the killing of Nairobi lawyer Willie Kimani and his two associates have been charged with murder at a Nairobi court.
The four who includeFredrick Leliman, Leonard Mwangi, Silvia Wanjiku and Stephen Cheburet, were charged with lawyer Willie Kimani, his client Josphat Mwenda and taxi driver Joseph Muiruri on the night of June 23 in the Soweto area of Mlolongo, Machakos County.
They were remanded for a month when they will be eligible to apply to be released on bond. They are being represented by criminal lawyer Cliff Ombeta.
