The tourism company Zunguka Africa Tours and Travel is on the lookout for a woman from West Pokot County, Milka Cheyech, who spoke about her dream of traveling far from her hometown to explore other parts of the country.

Milka, a resident of Katilok, gained online prominence after being interviewed by NTV, where she admitted to never having traveled far from home before.

In the interview, the middle-aged woman revealed that the farthest she had traveled was to Kesegon in the Cherangany constituency.

“Since I was born, I have never even been to Kitale; my limit is Kesegon. Whenever I go for work, it’s just to wash clothes, the old ones, or to bathe the children. That’s my limit; I’ve never gone far,” Milka said.

She added that her family members also come from the same area where she lives, and she only travels to visit them or go to the market.

Milka expressed her dream of traveling to Kitale and Nairobi one day, and she requested assistance to get there.

“I would just like to start with Kitale, just there. Then go to Nairobi. I want to see how people live there, what life is like there. Because staying here in West Pokot alone, you can’t know how people are progressing there. You can’t know how life is going there. I just wish I could get there; I hear people say it’s a fast-paced world. I wish to go to Nairobi,” she said.

Zunguka Africa Tours is now searching for Milka with the aim of helping her fulfill her dream of traveling outside her birthplace.

“Zunguka Africa is honored to offer our assistance to Milka. We are currently searching for her so that we can coordinate a special tourism offer that aligns with Milka’s interests and ensures that her experience is memorable and enriching,” Zunguka Africa said in a statement.

The tourism company stated that their team is committed to providing her with a safe, enjoyable, and knowledgeable journey as she explores new areas.

“We invite our fellow Kenyans to help us locate her so that we can provide her with a trip to Nairobi. Together, let’s create unforgettable memories and inspire a love for traveling in life,” they said.

In the interview, Milka hinted that she would be amazed if she were to visit a big city like Nairobi and Kitale.

“I have never been to Kitale. Whenever someone talks about it or I see it on TV, I feel like I will get lost if I go there. I see it as a fast-paced world, not like how I see West Pokot. It’s difficult; no one will ever take me there, how will I even go? Where do I start to go there? And there’s no family member there, no one is there,” she said.
