Hundreds of Kenyans showed up at the Judiciary’s car park to get themselves ‘cheap cars’ whose prices had been indicated to be between Sh 25,000 to Sh 455,000.
The vehicles on offer included Mercedes Benz, Peugeot 406s, Peugeot 504s, a Nissan X-Trail and a Land rover 110 among others.
The initial price range for the 27 Mercedes Benz was between Sh210, 000 to 390,000. However, they were sold at prices ranging between Sh. 650,000 and Sh. 1.7 million.
One of the cheapest Land Rover 110 was sold at Sh. 310,000 while the initial price tag on it was Sh. 75,000. The most expensive Land Rover 110 that was rated at Sh 455,000 went away at a whooping Sh. 2 million making it as the most expensive vehicle in the auction. The only Nissan- X-Trail went away at Sh. 410,000 from the initial Sh. 200,000.
