After leaving Kiss FM, where she had co-hosted the breakfast show for three and a half years, Kamene is set to join a new radio station. Langata MP Felix Odiwuor, popularly known as Jalang’o, confirmed the news during the launch of Flair by Betty after relocating.

Jalang’o, who had also left Kiss FM, has been a strong supporter of Kamene and refers to her as his “small sister.” During the event, he revealed that he had met her the previous night, and she was doing great. He added that Kamene was in a better place and had landed a new gig at a radio station that she loved. However, the station is yet to be confirmed.

“Kamene is doing great. I met her last night and we had some whiskey. I think she is in a better place and doing something that she loves and is going to [join] a radio station very soon,” he said.

When Kamene left Kiss FM, she denied rumors that she was fired, saying that her contract had ended, and there was no need to renew it. Her departure followed Jalang’o’s exit, which led her to rethink her media career.

Jalang’o had taken to Instagram to share a heartfelt message with Kamene, expressing his gratitude for working with her and promising to be there for her in the future.

“Too many emotions, love and too many questions! Don’t worry! I got you! You will forever have a big brother in me,” he wrote.

Kamene’s lively and entertaining persona has made her a fan favorite, and her return to the airwaves is eagerly awaited. During her time at Kiss FM, she formed a close relationship with her co-hosts Jalang’o and Oga Obinna.

Kamene credited them for playing a significant role in her career at the station, adding that they had been part of a lot of happiness in her life.
