McDonald Mariga bagged a huge win after he beat 16 other candidates to secure the Jubilee ticket, with an eye on the Kibra by-election set for November 7, 2019.
The football star had earlier on made his way to Jubilee headquarters with his fans in tow, as he submitted his papers expressing interest in the legislative seat.
Jubilee National Elections Board announced their choice of the legendary footballer after closed-door deliberations.
“Football star MacDonald Mariga will fly the Jubilee party flag in the upcoming Kibra by-election,” an excerpt of the party’s statement disclosed.
