Inter threaten to sue Juventus over Lukaku

0

When Romelu Lukaku came to Inter Milan for a loan spell during the last season, everybody was smiling: the player, who ran away from Chelsea and came back to the club in which he played his best season, Inter officials, as they got a proven striker back only for a loan, and fans, who knew that Lukaku lovest the club and jumped at the chance to come back.

But a year late, laughter was replaced by anger, and it looked like the Belgian striker could become the most hated person in Milan.

Not only did Lukaku negotiate (and it seems agreed) a deal with the hated enemy Juventus, but he seemed to have negotiated with them while he was still in Inter.

As we all know, Inter is in a financial crisis, and even thou Lukaku didn’t shine in his comeback season ( ), they still wanted to do the deal, but since the Blues have two full locker rooms full of players, they only wanted to do a deal to earn money and get him off the wage bill.

The deal didn’t work out in the end, and Chelsea began negotiations with Juventus, who wanted to do swap Lukaku – Vlahović, with additional money since the young Serb is worth more. And as if that wasn’t enough for the disappointed fans, first the news arrived that the player and the club agreed on personal terms, and then reports appeared which claimed that the Turin giant went into negotiations with Lukaku much earlier, even when the player was still in Inter.

Gazzetta writes how talks were allegedly opened between the Bianconeri and the Belgian’s lawyer Sebastian Ledure back in March and two days after the Champions League final in June, and that the player reportedly agreed to the terms of a contract. Inter is apparently very angry about the situation and is thinking of reporting Juve for ’tapping’ Lukaku, which means contacting him without first receiving the proper authorization from his club, which is against FIFA regulations.

On the other hand, Juventus officials, already under investigation for capital gains, for which they were punished in Italy and won’t play in Europe this season, deny these accusations and claim that they did open negotiations with the player but only in July when he came back to Stamford Bridge from Italy. So far, the two clubs are still negotiating the additional money, which Chelsea would have to add along with Lukaku to get Dušan Vlahović.
