Importers have five months to register their intellectual rights on the newly launched Anti-counterfeit Authority IP recordation system. The IPR database will capture trademarks, copyrights, trade names as well as other protected intellectual property rights for all goods to be imported into the country. The move aimed at curbing the inflow of counterfeit products into the country.
