Uganda’s top comedian Salvado has come out to reveal that he left a well paying job to venture into comedy.

The comedian says he earned over Ksh 130,000 as an intern in what he thought was a dream come true.

“I WAS AN ENGINEER, EARNING ABOUT SH130,000 BUT I AUDITIONED FOR COMEDY AND MADE IT TO THE TOP TWO. THE OTHER GUY WON”

Then he wanted to be challenged; “IN MY HEART, I FELT THIS IS WHAT I WAS SUPPOSED TO DO. IT WAS CHALLENGING, A CHALLENGE THAT I DIDN’T HAVE IN MY ENGINEERING WORLD. IT WAS SOMETHING THAT I COULD DO EFFORTLESSLY”

Well, Patrick Idringi, his real name later called it quits and started doing comedy, a journey he reveals has not been a bed of roses. “MY PASSION FOR COMEDY STARTED WAY BEFORE MY INTEREST IN ENGINEERING. I RESIGNED AND IT BECAME BETTER AND BETTER.”

Salvador was in Kenya where he will be graced Churchill Show.
