Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetang’ula has maintained that he is the most suitable Cord presidential flag-bearer in next year’s elections.
Mr. Wetangula said that among his fellow CORD principals, he was the only one who could defeat Jubilee’s Uhuru Kenyatta in 2017.
Mr Wetang’ula, who spoke during a fundraising at Kegonga Catholic Church in Kuria East, further asked co-principal Raila Odinga to relinquish his bid for the presidency and instead support him.
“I have supported him in the past and I am asking him to allow me to take a stab at the presidency next year on a Cord ticket,” he said.
He said his candidature would send “Jubilee home early in the day.”
