AFC Leopards’ captain, Eugene Mukangula, has returned to the squad after being out for three weeks with a hamstring injury.

The midfielder was injured during a match against Nairobi City Stars at Kasarani Stadium in January.

Mukangula’s absence forced him to miss the Mashemeji Derby and eight other league rounds.

With his return, the AFC Leopards squad has received a boost as they prepare to face Karibangi Sharks at Nyayo Stadium on Sunday.

In a past interview with Mozzart sports, the former Thika United man revealed that he was handed a clean bill of health on Tuesday and is hopeful of getting some minutes possibly in their next league match against Kariobangi Sharks.

“I am happy to be back to the team after some weeks on the sidelines. The boys did incredibly well in the past league matches and I am looking forward to joining them on the pitch,” he said.
