One of Tecra Muigai’s friends has revealed that the mother, Tabitha Karanja was against the relationship between her daughter and Omar Lali.
Speaking exclusively to Daily Nation newspaper, the friend revealed that they were aware of how Tabitha Karanja tried to stop her daughter from seeing Omar Lali.
“All of us were aware that Tabitha Karanja was against Tecra’s relationship with Omar Lali and she even went to the extent of sending her eldest brother to convince her to end the relationship,” said Tecra’s friend.
Tecra Muigai was found unconscious in one of a private residence in Lamu Island with blood oozing from her mouth.
it is reported that the boyfriend was asleep when Tecra’s friend found her lying unconscious in a pool of blood.
Reports indicate that they phoned Tecra’s mother, Tabitha Karanja who provided air transport for her daughter to be airlifted to Nairobi for specialized treatment.
The Homicide Unit from the DCI has taken over the investigation to find out If indeed Omar Lali was involved in the death of Tecra Muigai.
According to sources within the investigating team, Omar Lali is a suspect after he gave contradicting accounts on events that led to Tecra’s death.
Tecra was working in Keroche Breweries as head of the Strategy and Innovation department until her demise.
The Board of Directors praised Tecra as a hard-working lady whose passion and energy were instrumental in the company’s growth.
William Ruto and Raila Odinga eulogized Tecra Muigai and urged the family to remain strong even as plans are underway to bury her.
