He Only Gave Me Ksh100,000 – Ndindi Nyoro Lookalike Complains After Meeting MP

Joshua Kiprop Chemei on Monday, May 8, complained that he had been short-changed by Kiharu Member of Parliament Ndindi Nyoro.

Chemei went viral for holding a placard seeking help from his lookalike Ndindi Nyoro arguing that they were ‘like brothers’ and implored the MP to help finance his fledgling music career.

Nyoro was moved by the plea and met Chemei on Wednesday, April 26, where, according to the musician, he received Ksh100,000 after the visit.

“That was a little amount considering that I embarrassed myself and even our governor and area MP by holding that placard. I used the money to buy one speaker and I am currently broke,” he told Kenyans.co.ke.

On what he wanted from Ndindi Nyoro, Chemei remarked, “I wish he could have given me Ksh500,000 to build a house. He could also have bought me a Probox which I would have greatly appreciated.”

To justify his demands, Chemei argued that another musician from Rift Valley got a car gift from Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi.

“Since I went overboard and embarrassed myself and my people by holding the placard, the least he could have done is buy me a car as Sudi did for my colleague,” he complained.

On whether Nyoro had promised him any additional help apart from the Ksh100,000, the upcoming musician confirmed that no other perks were part of the discussion but maintained that the gift he received was too little.

Chemei, who is stranded in Nairobi, therefore pleaded with well-wishers to help him raise funds to support his family and career.

“I plead with Kenyans to contribute for me so that I can build a house and be able to take my children to school.

“Nowadays, I cannot even borrow since people think I am a millionaire,” he explained his struggles since meeting the legislator.

The upcoming musician also revealed that he would appreciate a job opportunity from the Kiharu lawmaker.

“I would appreciate a job of holding his microphone over a desk job. This is because I need something that will not cause my music career to stagnate,” he sent an emotional plea to the Kiharu MP.
