Governor Wycliffe Oparanya has commissioned the sixth phase of the Kakamega County Shelter Improvement program.

Oparanya said the County has spent Ksh320M on the project that started in 2015 with an aim of uplifting the living standards of the vulnerable members of the community through the construction of decent houses.

He revealed that so far the project has seen 2,500 houses constructed across the 12 sub-counties.
