Mandela unused by Mamelodi

Meanwhile, centre back Brian Mandela watched action from the substitutes bench when South African champions Mamelodi Sundown beat Richards Bay 1-0 at the King Goodwill Stadium.

While Mandela was at least on the Sundowns bench, his compatriot Ovella Ochieng who turns for Richards Bay was overlooked in the game.

Argentine, Junior Mendiata settled the contest after finding the back of the net in the eleventh minute. Following the win, Sundowns stretched their unbeaten start in the league to five matches.

Richards Bay on the other hand, haven’t celebrated maximum points in the five rounds played as the club has, shared points twice and lost three duels.
