Collins Gatusso Okoth, a former Kenyan international and ex-captain of the national football team, Harambee Stars, is currently under custody at Pangani Police Station.
Allegations weigh heavily against him, accusing him of the despicable acts of raping and ending the life of a three-year-old child.
These accusations have shocked and appalled the community, casting a dark shadow over Okoth’s once-celebrated reputation.
He is set to be arraigned in court tomorrow.
11 years ago, the Kenyan international midfielder was also accused of child neglect.
Gattuso allegedly sired a baby girl with another soccer star Jackline Adhiambo who played for women league Moyas Football Club as a goalkeeper.
According to Adhiambo, Gattuso had denied responsibility for their three-year-old girl Stephamaysy Ignesious, since she was born.
“I’m paid Sh2,500 per game. If I don’t play am not paid. I am forced to live in a single room at Kariobangi that I can hardly afford. I don’t want Gattuso to marry me, I just want him to pay school fees for our daughter,” Adhiambo said in a past interview.
She claimed that Gattuso visited her parents after she gave birth and promised to take responsibility of their child when he was playing for Gor Mahia but since he moved to Sofapaka, he changed drastically.
