The infamous Kayole female gangster Claire Njoki who has popularly been dubbed as ‘Nairobi’s prettiest gangster’ was buried on Thursday in Kambirwa Village in Murang’a in an unusual ceremony.
She was only 17 years old!
The ceremony, which was attended by few people was characterized by tension.
The compound had only one tent and a few plastic chairs.

There was no eulogy, funeral program or photos of Claire’s relatives. Preachers who presided over the ceremony did not introduce her mother or any of her relatives.
In attendance were police officers in plain clothes and a few members of the dreaded Kayole Gaza gang.

According to a local daily, most of her friends were scared that they would be arrested if they showed up for the burial. However, a few brave ones had visited the City Mortuary earlier in the morning.
A few hours after Claire’s burial, police raided her house and arrested three men who they claimed were criminals.
It was further reported that Claire’s uncle might have been a gangster who died in similar circumstances.
