Three police officers have found themselves at the center of a storm over the death of a senior detective attached to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Felix Kelian Kitosi on March 16, 2024.

Sammy Rotich Cherono, Khadija Abdi Wako, and Agnes Kerubo Mugo are currently detained at Riruta Police Station pending further investigation.

According to a statement from the police, all officers from Kikuyu Police Station are under suspicion of murder in connection with Kitosi’s death.

“All officers attached to Kikuyu Police Station are currently being held on suspicion of murder in connection with the death of Felix Kelian Kitosi. Further developments will follow,” the police report said.

The events leading to Kitosi’s tragic fate occured after a confrontation with Joseph Mwenda, popularly known as DJ Joe Mfalme, after Kitosi reportedly collided with Mwenda’s vehicle outside Kikuyu Police Station in Kiambu County.

Tempers flared, and a physical altercation erupted, with Mwenda’s entourage allegedly assaulting Kitosi before the involvement of the three police officers.

Upon their arrival at the scene, the officers took Kitosi into custody, transporting him to Kikuyu Police Station for further questioning.

Strikingly, Mwenda and his associates also accompanied them to the station but were subsequently permitted to depart without providing a formal statement.

Despite all these, It is now emerging that celebrated entertainer DJ Joe Mfalme and his crew were fixed by rogue cops at Kikuyu police station.

It is believed that Kitosi died as a result of injuries inflicted on his body while in custody at Kikuyu police station.

Meanwhile, on the evening of the incident, DJ Joe Mfalme was entertaining a crowd at Club Texas Barbeque in Kikuyu Town, with the now-deceased officer among his crew.
