In terms of the distribution of the cases in Nairobi neighborhoods, the CAS indicated that Dandora had 5, City Park (2), Eastleigh (1) Parklands 2, and Pipeline (1).

In Mombasa, he announced that the cases are distributed as follows; Kiembeni (1), Centi Kumi (1), Stadium (1), Msikiti Nuru (1), and Mulaloni (1).

The number of those who have succumbed to the virus still remained 14 from the April 18 presser.

“We are most grateful, first of all to God, the Almighty, and to the medics and health workers taking care of our patients,” he stated.

Additionally, the CAS indicated that the ministry was monitoring 887 contacts relating to the 16 cases.

He emphasized that people living with noncommunicable conditions such as heart diseases, hypertension, diabetes, cancer, chronic respiratory disorders, among other NCDs were more susceptible to contracting the Covid-19 disease.
