N’Golo Kante is attracting a great deal of interest, and Chelsea are keen to land the France international after submitting a new £29 million bid.

The paper says the Premier League champions were discussing the Blues’ bid on Wednesday on their preseason tour in Austria. Sky Sports News, though, reported on Wednesday that Leicester have offered Kante a four-year deal and that claims a fee had already been agreed were wide of the mark.

Meanwhile, the Daily Mirror reports that Chelsea are hopeful they can land Santos’ sensation Gabriel Barbosa and have already tabled a £25m bid. It won’t be easy for the Blues, mind you: “Gabigol” is the prize jewel for the Peixe, who want to extend the 19-year-old’s contract by two years until 2021
