Power Financial Wellness, a Kenyan-based financial wellness company has today agreed with Africa’s leading digital logistics company, Amitruck. Under the agreement, Power will provide financial wellness tools to Amitruck’s staff, a fleet of drivers, and delivery partners.

Amitruck has a fleet of over 12,000 vehicles carrying out over 60,000 deliveries daily for their clients across East Africa and is re-defining and building Africa’s logistics marketplace. With the new addition of Amitruck, Power now covers a new frontier of affordable financial wellness tools in the logistics industry.

Through its partnerships with financial services providers across Africa, Power will provide Amitruck with an off-the-shelf digital platform to enable financial services for its workforce. Founded in 2020, Power is focused on providing working individuals with more affordable and appropriate financial services. Power partners with companies of all sizes to help them provide a turnkey solution for their full-time employees, contract staff, and gig workforce. Workers can access their earnings at any time, save and invest instantly in a bank account of their choice, qualify for long-term loans, and enroll in insurance products, all from the comfort of their phones. Power’s unique integrations with companies and employers allow employees to enroll in services and plan for their future.

CEO Brian Dempsey said, “Power is a marketplace for working individuals across Africa to access financial services. We are excited to partner with such a fast-paced and growing company like Amitruck to support their network of delivery partners as well as their full-time employees as they plan for and build their future!”

Through the Power platform, Amitruck’s team will be able to easily onboard their staff and driver partners through a simple-to-use web portal. The management team can decide which modules they would like to enable for their workforce and the limits that individuals can access. Power’s system and internal algorithms will then calculate and allocate limits to the employees. All eligible staff can then visit the Play Store, download Power, sign up, link their employer, and start using the services.

Amitruck CEO Mark Mwangi said, “Amitruck’s vision is to use technology and innovation to transform logistics in East Africa and beyond. Our platform connects thousands of transporters

with cargo owners efficiently and transparently making the market fairer for all. We’re delighted to work with Power to empower SMEs across the region.”
