Kenya – August 30, 2023 – In anticipation of the upcoming Africa Climate Summit 2023 (#ACS23), the Permanent Presidential Music Commission (PPMC) has released a captivating theme song titled “Africa Arise.”

The song, performed by Bire The Vocalist, Iddi Achieng’, and Chris Adwar, aims to inspire and unite participants in their quest for sustainable solutions to combat climate change. Produced by Chris Adwar and directed by Vinto Neskon, the song is set to provide an uplifting backdrop to the highly anticipated summit.

President William Ruto will be hosting the Africa Climate Summit from September 4 to 6 at the prestigious Kenyatta International Convention Centre in Nairobi.

The event will bring together leaders, experts, and stakeholders from across Africa and around the world to discuss green growth strategies and climate finance solutions.

With climate change posing a significant threat to the African continent, President Ruto’s objective is to foster a meaningful dialogue that addresses not only regional concerns but global challenges too.

By creating an enabling environment for collaboration, it is hoped that innovative approaches can be identified and harnessed to combat climate change effectively.

The theme song “Africa Arise” serves as a symbol of hope and resilience for those attending the summit.

According to PPMC Chairman Jane Masai, “Music has always been a powerful medium capable of connecting people on a deep emotional level. We believe that ‘Africa Arise’ will inspire individuals from different backgrounds to come together in pursuit of sustainable practices.”

Bire The Vocalist, Iddi Achieng’, and Chris Adwar are accomplished artists in their own right. Together, they bring diverse musical styles and influences that truly represent the rich tapestry of African culture.

Their collaboration on “Africa Arise” showcases their collective passion for driving positive change and raising awareness about climate-related issues.
