Kenyan actress Kate Actress has talked about her journey to motherhood.
Kate said that at some point, she felt like giving up trying to conceive another baby with her husband Phil Karanja.
Kate who is expectant with her second child 13 years after her firstborn, revealed in her latest video on her YouTube channel said,“SOMETIMES I WOULD IMMEDIATELY TEST FOR PREGNANCY AFTER FINISHING OUR BUSINESS BUT THE RESULTS WERE NEGATIVE.
A BABY NEVER COMES WHEN YOU ARE LOOKING FOR IT,” CELINA JOKED.
Kate delivered her son years ago while she was still on campus.
Each time she thought of getting baby no 2, the ghost of her struggling as a single mother at only 19 would come back“I REMEMBER I REALLY WANTED ONE BEFORE THE WEDDING.
I WAS IN A RUSH TO GET ONE. BEING THE PLANNER THAT HE IS WE DELAYED.
I AM THE MOST IMPATIENT PERSON IN THE WORLD AND I STARTED GETTING SO DISAPPOINTED,” THE ACTRESS ADDED.
Kate had in the past talked about how her son had motivated her to move from a bedsitter to a more better place back in the day.‘MY SON WOULD CALL ME AND ASK ME IF I HAD GOTTEN A BIG HOUSE SO I COULD STAY WITH HIM.
I STARTED LIVING IN A BEDSITTER, BUT I WOULD MAKE SURE I VISIT MY SON AT MY MUM’S HOUSE.
ON WEEKENDS, HAVE HIM STAY AT MY PLACE.’
Her son always asked her why her house was small, and that motivated her to keep working hard.
She said:‘WHY DON’T I LIVE WITH YOU?’ HE’D SAY. I WOULD CRY EVERY DAY AND TELL GOD TO LET THIS BE MY MOTIVATION.
