Make a step and act on your threats Wetang’ula dares Uhuru

Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetang’ula has asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to effect his war against corruption. He has asked the president to avoid his preoccupied rhetoric to the public with little action.
Speaking during the annual general meeting of ng’arisha teachers Sacco in Chwele town, Bungoma County on Saturday 23rd Wetang’ula said the war on corruption should target all Kenyans irrespective of their community and status.

Wetang’ula has cautioned president’s war on graft and said it lacked good will from both political and state officers.

“We have seen a tough talking president whenever he goes to address Kenyans, but we haven’t seen him by sending culprits home and jail them.” Said Wetang’ula

Wetang’ula who doubles up as Bungoma senator reiterated his call for the removal and prosecution of cabinet secretaries and other senior government officers who are under investigation for corruption related cases.
Wetang’ula has expressed need to have corrupt leaders arraigned in court and jailed for misappropriating public funds.

Wetang’ulas sentiments comes after a section of leaders allied to the deputy president William Ruto complained that the war on corruption was targeting a certain community.

His sentiments were echoed by Bungoma women representative Catherine Wambilianga who reiterated on Wetang’ula statement on war against corruption. She said money lost through corruption was enough to feed Kenyans affected with hunger. She called on state agencies mandated to investigate and prosecute corruption cases to stand firm in war against corruption.
Wetang’ula had been accompanied by several members of parliament from the region and county members of parliament.
