Seasoned TV journalist Yvonne Okwara has reportedly separated from her husband Andrew Matole after a decade together.
Sources reveal that the couple parted ways about a month ago, with reports indicating that they are no longer residing together in their Loresho home.
While specific details surrounding their separation remain scarce, insiders suggest that differences between them had been brewing for over a year, primarily due to allegations of Matole’s infidelity.
Notably, Yvonne has ceased using her husband’s surname ‘Matole’ when signing in for her Thursday night prime-time news bulletin on Citizen TV.
Additionally, her wedding ring, which had been a constant presence on her left hand for the past 10 years, has disappeared.
Matole, a veterinary doctor and Managing Director at The Andys Veterinary Clinics, tied the knot with Yvonne in 2014 during her tenure at KTN.
Their wedding, held at Nairobi’s Crown Hotel, was marked by controversies, necessitating venue changes multiple times due to fears of disruptions from Matole’s estranged wife, Alice Manyola.
Alice and Andrew had not finalized their divorce when he married Yvonne, as they were separated following accusations of his infidelity.
The couple shares three children: Linda, Faith, and Emmanuel.
