Homeboyz’ management speaks after Limuru road accident

The players of Homeboyz football team narrowly avoided harm when their team bus was involved in a collision at Limuru on Tuesday evening.

The team, which participates in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL), was on its way to Nairobi for an away match against Kariobangi Sharks that was planned for the next day at the Kenya Police Sacco Pavilion.

The accident occurred between the team’s bus and two private cars, but thankfully, no one in the vehicles sustained any injuries.

Speaking to Mozzart sports, Boniface Imbenzi, the team manager, confirmed the incident and expressed gratitude that no one was hurt. He added that the team would proceed with their journey to Nairobi after completing the necessary legal procedures.

“The team has gotten involved in an accident at Limuru but luckily no player was hurt. The people in the other cars were also not hurt, just damages to the vehicles so they will just record the necessary statements with the police and proceed with their journey to Nairobi,” Imbenzi told Mozzart Sport.

As of now, Homeboyz is ranked 11th on the league table with 29 points from 23 matches. They will be aiming to surpass Posta Rangers with a win in their upcoming match on Wednesday.

The team will undoubtedly be relieved that the accident did not result in any injuries and that they can continue with their scheduled match as planned.
