Harambee stars coach Engin Firat spotted at JKIA days after reports of going missing

Harambee Stars coach, Engin Firat, has returned to Kenya ahead of the team’s upcoming friendly matches against Burundi in March. Firat had previously been in a reported disagreement with the Football Kenya Federation (FKF), but has since returned to honour his contractual obligation to prepare the national team for the upcoming matches.

The Turkish coach signed a three-year deal with FKF last year, but was unable to continue in his role after Kenya was suspended by FIFA due to government interference.

However, with Kenya now reinstated, Firat is expected to assemble a squad for the two friendly matches, which will be played in Nairobi during the next FIFA international window.

According to Mozzart sports, Firat will be working with two local assistants in a cost-cutting move by FKF, despite his previous interest in bringing in a foreign assistant.

One of the assistants he is considering working with is former Sofapaka coach Ken Odhiambo, who has previously worked as an assistant coach with the national team under Adel Amrouche.

Firat’s return is a boost for Harambee Stars, who will be looking to build on their recent performances and improve their FIFA rankings.

The Turkish coach has a wealth of experience in the game, having worked with several clubs in Turkey and Cyprus. With his knowledge and expertise, Firat will be hoping to guide Harambee Stars to success in the upcoming matches and beyond.
