A street boy in Nairobi yesterday broke down in tears after meeting a woman stuck in traffic.
The woman identified as Gladys Kamande was heading to Kenyatta National Hospital for a clinic when the car she was in got held up in traffic.
The street boy approached the car looking to ask for help. Upon seeing some equipments that were connected to the woman’s face, the boy asked the lady what they were for.
“He was about to introduce himself when he saw her carrying weighty equipments. He asked what they were for.When she explained they were supplying oxygen to her body,the young man broke down in tears,” said blogger Ndungu Nyoro in a Facebook post.
The young boy uncontrollably broke down in tears as she stretched out his hand to touch the ailing lady.
“He got hold of Gladys’ hand and made a silent prayer- that God may provide all she could need for her treatment.”
According to Mr. Nyoro, Gladys has been carrying an oxygen concentrator, oxygen cylinders and a generator with her wherever she goes. She has a bill of Sh. 7 million standing between her and treatment. Those who may wish to help her can do so through:
