Insurers have cut down underwriting losses in the general insurance business to Ksh 510 million during the first three months of the year.
This is down from a loss of Ksh 1.74 billion the industry reported during the first three months of 2021 according to latest data by the Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA).
IRA says the motor private and commercial and medical classes of insurance business reported losses of about Ksh 1.67 billion during the period under review.
