Kenya joined the world in marking the World Kiswahili Language Day, for the first time after the Unesco declaration. Tourism cabinet secretary Najib balala appealed to all education institutions, universities and TVETS to embrace Kiswahili as the first language saying it will go a long way in easing communication, promoting culture, trade and unity across the region
