While the robbery ensues, a person can be seen approaching the shop as if to be served, notices the robbery and takes off.

The thugs turn the shop inside out, thoroughly scavenging for items of value before fleeing the scene.

When it is all clear, the attendant checks upon the woman’s head, who shows signs of injuries, and then steps out of the shop.

In the recent past, a string of burglaries has been captured by CCTV cameras, with security enforcement calling for business premises to install the gadgets as they may come in handy in investigations.

A safety report by Securex Africa highlighted that several burglaries had targeted small and average enterprises over the recent past.

As a security precaution, the report advised that shops and residencies should consider the installation of CCTV cameras in their premises, also employing strategic placement of the devices.

It advised that the surveillance systems be placed at a location able to capture thieves’ faces and even the whole act. This would aid authorities in investigations and search for justice.
