One of the people who escaped from quarantine at Kenya Medical Training College has been found in Bureti, Kericho County.
Area police commander Silas Gichunge said the man identified as Nelson Kiplangat was trailed by detectives from Nairobi.
They located him at his home in Tabaita village, Tiriitab Moita.
Police said another person managed to escape and a manhunt has been launched.
Meanwhile, Nelson Kiplangat has been taken to Kapkatet Medical Training College where he has been quarantined.
According to Commander Gichunge, Kiplangat escaped KMTC in Nairobi and then traveled to his home in Kericho using ‘panya’ routes.
The police commander said his family members have been advised to quarantine themselves at their home for the next 14 days.
when the President announced lockdown nobody thought that these orders will be adhered to or so. But it’s like that too far to be implemented as Kenyan knows too much and has ways to find there way to break all the rules to get to their destination.
That was the kind of man who escaped from the KMTC quarantine center in order to travel all the way to the home place through the ‘panya route’.
It is also scary to know someone who has not finished his days in quarantine is roaming about unsure of his health status.
