Controversial Chris Obure and his bodyguard Robert Ouko, the main suspects in Kevin Omwenga’s fatal shooting were arraigned in court again on Tuesday.
They have been detained for 12 more days as detectives piece together information to unravel the cause of the shooting.
Omwenga is said to have died on the spot after the bullet went through his heart.
On the fateful night, Kevin Omwenga was home with his brother (who was in the kitchen cooking dinner), his Tanzanian female friend, and a few other people.

According to Citizen TV, the lady told detectives that
SHE WAS JUST GETTING TO KNOW OMWENGA BETTER AND ON THAT FATEFUL NIGHT, SHE HEARD A BLAST SHORTLY AFTER ROBERT CALLED OMWENGA TO HIS BEDROOM.
On the other hand, Omwenga’s brother told detectives that he first thought it was a gas explosion in the kitchen.
A few minutes later after the loud bang, Robert was recorded on CCTV footage walking out of the apartment looking confused and went back again before helping two gents take the injured Omwenga to the parking lot.
He was driven to Nairobi Women’s Hospital in a blue car but was pronounced dead.

Omwenga’s Galana Suites apartment house 703 has been sealed off as a crime scene.
