It was later established that the deceased was Eldoret-based fashion designer Edwin Chiloba.

The deceased body was taken to Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital for an autopsy to determine the cause of his death.

Who Is Edwin Chiloba?

Edwin Chiloba was born in Elgeyo Marakwet. In one of the interviews, he recalled his difficult upbringing after his mother died. Years later he also claimed to have lost his father who was his source of inspiration.

Edwin attended Moi University West Campus, wherein through the diversity of school clubs and exposure, he found his happiness, a new love, fashion.

In his third year, he started putting outfits together and going for photoshoots and pageants that his relatives were not proud of. He discontinued school and moved to Nairobi to chase his fashion dream.

Edwin Chiloba eventually moved to Nairobi; dejected and without direction, until a friend volunteered to sign him under his modelling and talent agency.

He created his designs, and not long after, his breakthrough came via a Direct message on Facebook, from a white couple who adored his handiwork.

Eventually, they enrolled him at a Fashion school and supported him to pursue his passion and dreams.
