Motor-Rahisi offers flexible insurance payments

Old Mutual has unveiled two new insurance solutions as the Group expands its customer engagement and financial wellness initiatives in Kisumu.

The solutions include Motor-Rahisi, which allows customers to spread comprehensive motor insurance premium payments over a period of up to three months.

The product is designed to give motorists greater flexibility in managing the cost of comprehensive motor insurance.

Airalo eSIM added to Old Mutual Travel Insurance

Old Mutual has also integrated Airalo eSIM functionality into its Travel Insurance offering, bringing travel insurance and mobile connectivity together within a single digital journey.

Through the partnership with Airalo, customers can access mobile data in more than 200 countries and regions without having to source or replace physical SIM cards while travelling.

Customers can select a suitable data plan, activate it digitally, and manage their data usage and top-ups during their travels.

Insurance fraud is an economic threat and collaboration is the cure

Old Mutual urges customers to prepare for weather risks

Old Mutual General Insurance Kenya Managing Director Japheth Ogalloh urged households and businesses to review their insurance policies and take precautionary measures amid the possibility of El Niño conditions later in the year.

He said customers should understand the risks they face and take practical measures to protect their homes, vehicles and businesses against potential weather-related damage.

“Insurance is an important part of financial resilience, but protection also starts with preparedness. We encourage customers to review their cover, understand the risks they are exposed to and take practical steps to safeguard their homes, vehicles and businesses against weather-related risks,” said Ogalloh.

Kisumu Market Storm promotes financial wellness

The solutions were unveiled during the Kisumu Market Storm, part of Old Mutual’s ongoing There Will Be Signs campaign.

The campaign encourages customers to identify signs in their financial lives and take action towards improving their financial wellness.

Old Mutual Life Assurance Kenya Managing Director Martin Karenju said the initiative is encouraging customers to strengthen their savings habits, plan for retirement and invest consistently for the long term.

“Financial wellness starts with recognising the signs and taking action early,” said Karenju.

Campaign expands across Kenyan markets

The Kisumu engagement follows an activation in Eldoret earlier in the week, with similar customer engagements previously held in Thika, Nakuru and Mombasa.

Old Mutual said the activations are part of its wider effort to engage customers directly, understand their changing needs and connect them with practical financial solutions.
