Global smartphone brand Infinix has unveiled Kenyanalpine skiing pioneer Sabrina Wanjiku Simader as its newest brand partner, marking a
strategic collaboration that celebrates resilience, boundary-breaking ambition and a
new era of innovation for the brand
The announcement comes as the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milano Cortina capture global attention, with Simader returning to the Olympic stage, this time as a spectator, mentor and symbol of possibility after making history as Kenya’s first female Winter Olympian.
Simader, who competed at the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Games, has long stood as a powerful example of what determination can achieve beyond geography and circumstance. Hailing from a country with no snow, she defied global norms in winter sports and opened doors for athletes from non-traditional regions to dream bigger.
Infinix Kenya says the partnership reflects a shared belief in pushing limits and Under Infinix’s “Beyond Snow, All-Round Legends” campaign, Simader will work closely with the brand to tell stories of perseverance, reinvention and growth, values that resonate strongly with young Africans navigating changing paths and evolving dreams.
During the Milano Cortina Games, Simader is documenting her Olympic return through Infinix devices, capturing moments from the slopes she once raced on, interactions with athletes she inspired, and reflections on a journey that continues to influence a new generation.
Speaking on the partnership, Simader said her role goes beyond competition.
“I’m returning to the Olympics not as a racer, but as someone who has lived the journey.
It’s about showing that dreams don’t end, they evolve. And that ambition belongs to everyone, no matter where you come from,” she said.
The announcement also signals what Infinix describes as an exciting next chapter for the brand, as it gears up for the Kenyan launch of its upcoming flagship device, the Infinix NOTE 60 Pro.
