The Board of The Nairobi Hospital (TNH) has once again reaffirmed its strong commitment to delivering quality service and maintaining institutional integrity. During a press conference held at the hospital’s amphitheater, the Board tackled concerns that have arisen due to a wave of reports about internal management issues.
At the briefing, the newly appointed Board Chair, Barcley Onyambu, highlighted the hospital’s ongoing dedication to providing top-notch healthcare to its patients and its vital role as a trusted institution within Kenya’s healthcare landscape. Lol
“Confidence in leadership is crucial for any organization, especially one that plays such a key role in the community’s health like The Nairobi Hospital,” the Chair remarked. “The recent integrity and leadership reports are isolated incidents and do not distract us from our mission. The Board is working together seamlessly, guided by a strong leadership team and a commitment to our shared values.”
Adding his voice to the conversation, Acting CEO Felix Osano said, “Our dedication to excellence is unwavering. We are taking proactive measures to tackle challenges and ensure that The Nairobi Hospital continues to be a symbol of trust and quality healthcare in Kenya.”
In a bid to enhance governance and operational excellence, The Nairobi Hospital has been making changes to its board of directors. The newly appointed members bring a wealth of diverse expertise and fresh perspectives that will bolster strategic oversight and decision-making within the institution.
“We believe that the changes we’ve implemented in our board will help us accelerate our journey toward institutional excellence,” the Chair noted.
Regarding the ongoing investigation by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), which began with a raid at the hospital, the Board addressed concerns about patient confidentiality and the management of sensitive data. The High Court has since issued orders to pause the investigation, allowing The Nairobi Hospital to continue its operations without interruption.
The Nairobi Hospital remains dedicated to its mission of delivering exceptional healthcare to the community.
