Brian Kiprotich better Known as Rayy is Kenya’s based magician and one of the most impressive magician’s in Africa.
Rayy has appeared on big stages, medias and shows among others.
In a recent interview on Ebru TV Kenya, he shared how depression and anxiety affected his life as a result of his past addiction (porn).
Rayy also shared how magic helped him on his struggle’s and how he has become the best version of himself after quitting pornography and focusing on magic.
He was also forced to drop out of school while in Form Three due to his mother’s financial constraints.
At this point, Rayy’s mother engaged in menial jobs such as washing clothes to put food on the table.
“I have never been afraid to say that I never finished school. My mother and father separated and we decided to live with our mother who struggled to put food on the table,” he shared.
Rayy mentioned that such difficulties took a toll on his mental health and led him down a path of substance abuse.
“I was always drunk and on drugs, but I made sure that my mother did not know about it. Little did I know that I was making my mental state even worse,” he shared.
Rayy’s passion for magic began at a very young age, after seeing some acrobat’s and magician’s on schools and streets but at that time he couldn’t become a magician because of his lack of knowledge and research at that time.
His passion never died and one day when his brother was scrolling through some channel’s he came across a channel named Nickelodeon which at that time a magician was performing at a comic show which impressed Kiprotich and he vowed to do everything humanly possible to become a magician.
He immediately went online and watched interview’s of some magician’s and discovered that there are magic books and magic schools but he went for magic books because it was affordable and it was in the country at the time.
After buying a magic book he learned a lot about magic and challenged himself to perform and he got amazing reaction.
Since that day he has been learning a lot about magic, creating his tricks, appearing on shows events.
He is mostly specialized in card magic and coins, Rayy is regarded as one of the best Magician’s in Kenya and Africa in general.
