Willy Paul reveals why he could be dead if he continued singing gospel music

In a candid revelation, Willy Paul has shared insights into his decision to exit the gospel music scene, citing feelings of alienation and distress.

During an exclusive interview on a local radio station, Willy Paul, affectionately known as Pozee, peeled back the layers of his departure, shedding light on the tumultuous journey that led him away from gospel music.

“Many things happened, you know, sometimes you feel like if you don’t leave where you are, you’ll be killed. In such situations, you have to remove yourself from those environments. Many things were happening when I was in gospel. I don’t want to point fingers, but they know,” Pozee revealed.

He confessed to facing considerable pressure and unwelcoming attitudes, confessing that remaining in the gospel scene felt suffocating.

Amidst reports of turmoil and strife, Willy Paul acknowledged that staying within the confines of gospel music could have led to dire consequences, even contemplating drastic measures like suicide or succumbing to mental health challenges.

Despite the adversity he faced, Willy Paul emphasized his unwavering resolve to move forward, refusing to dwell on the past or assign blame.

“The people I was with know what they did to me, but I didn’t want to talk about it. However, I had to move forward, and I never regret my decisions, so I don’t regret where I am today,” he asserted, reflecting on his journey towards embracing secular music.
