Woman in tears as she shares WhatsApp chat with boyfriend before tragic death

At least 11 Kenyatta University students were confirmed dead in a grisly road accident involving their school bus and a trailer.

The accident is said to have occured in Maungu,  Voi, in Taita Taveta county, along the Mombasa-Nairobi highway.

The school bus was carrying public health students who were heading to Mombasa for an academic trip.

The trailer was heading to Nairobi at the time the accident occurred.

The school bus was carrying 58 passengers.

About four students escaped unhurt. They were taken to Maungu Police Station awaiting further processes.

Among those grieving is Lyne, who mourns the passing of her beloved boyfriend, Mike, with whom she shared a deep and affectionate bond.

Lyne and Mike had been eagerly anticipating a reunion after spending nearly a month apart.

Their affection for each other was evident in their exchanges on TikTok, where they shared their excitement and plans for their upcoming meeting.

Their conversations were filled with love and anticipation, with Mike assuring Lyne of their meeting the next day with the words “Sawa kesho basi, I can’t wait to see you.”

However, fate had a cruel twist in store.

The tragic accident claimed the lives of the students, including Mike, leaving Lyne shattered and struggling to come to terms with the loss.

In disbelief, she reached out to Mike, hoping for confirmation that the news of his passing was untrue.

“Buddy, is this true? Rest easy Mike. I did not know that was the last bye. Maybe I will love you more in the next life. Rest easy. We shall meet,” she mourned.

Now, in the wake of his passing, she found herself haunted by the meaning behind his last goodbye.
