American superstar Kelis captured navigating the challenges of Nairobi traffic

American superstar Kelis is in Kenya and didn’t fail to notice the crazy Nairobi traffic describing how city pedestrians have no right of way, explaining the situation in a video that has since gone viral online.

In a delightful video shared on her social media, Kelis is seen maneuvering through Nairobi’s Central Business District, known for its infamous traffic.

Armed with ‘Uhuru’ bags filled with her shopping spoils, Kelis cheerfully chanted the phrase “Be aggressive, be, be aggressive,” a phrase typically taught to schoolchildren, as she prepared to navigate a crossroads where pedestrians apparently have no right of way.

The video captures the chaos of Kenyatta Avenue, filled with beeping horns and public service vehicles squeezing through the crowded streets. Kelis, with a playful smile, informs her audience that pedestrians don’t have the right of way and likens crossing the road to the childhood game of ‘Double Dutch,’ emphasizing the need for speed and vigilance.

The singer successfully crosses the road and reunites with an acquaintance waiting on the other side. Humorously, she captions the video with a pro tip: “Pedestrians do not have the right of way, you better move fast and look both ways.”

Kelis’ adventure in Africa began in Zanzibar, where she was seen exploring open-air markets.

Aside from her musical prowess, Kelis is also known for her skills as a chef, adding a flavorful twist to her multifaceted artistic journey.
