On November 20, 2021, former Inooro TV presenter Muthoni Mukiri exchanged vows with her longtime partner Isaac Njoroge in an intimate ceremony at the Windsor Country Club.
The exclusive wedding was attended by 150 close friends and family members.
In an interview with Nairobi News, Muthoni Mukiri opened up about her wedding, dispelling misconceptions about its grandeur and sharing insights into the cost of her special day.
When discussing her wedding ring, Muthoni disclosed that it had cost her approximately Ksh 150,000 (about $1,000).
She emphasized her appreciation for quality and lasting craftsmanship, saying:
Muthoni Mukiri also shared insights into her approach to sharing her personal life on social media, especially her husband.
She explained that they are not a “celebrity couple” and that she introduces her husband into the online space on special occasions.
“I introduced my husband to my online community, and he remains a private person. I don’t regularly post about him, except on specific occasions like when I first introduced him, during our traditional wedding, and on our wedding day. I post about him when there’s a specific reason to do so. We are not a celebrity couple,” she clarified.
Muthoni Mukiri also commented on the challenges that celebrity couples often face, suggesting that interference with one’s individuality could be a contributing factor to some high-profile breakups.
“Those are famous people, and their experiences are a reflection of what happens in relationships everywhere. I believe that one of the reasons couples part ways, especially when one partner doesn’t allow the other to be themselves, can be very stifling,” she noted.
Muthoni Mukiri is now gearing up for the launch of her debut book, “Becoming The Woman,” scheduled for Thursday, November 2nd, at the Sankara Hotel.
This event marks a significant milestone in Muthoni’s journey of empowerment and inspiration.
