Content creator Crazy Kennar has addressed the haters who doubt his ability to excel in stand-up comedy.
Born Kennedy Odhiambo, the content creator, who has starred with his skits on social media, is slated to grace the stand-up comedy show at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in Nairobi, on December 16, 2023.
The announcement had social media buzzing, but not everyone was on board.
Some even speculated if the show would morph into a skit-fest rather than a traditional stand-up act.
One skeptical fan asked, “Crazy Kennar atawezana na Standup comedy kweli ama Kwa hiyo show yake tunaenda kuona videos zake?” Another concerned follower pondered, “Wameanza Kuulizana show ya Crazy Kennar itakuwa standup comedy ama skits. Na kama ni one-man show, do you think he will manage to be on stage for more than one hour considering his type of content?”
Kennar’s proclamation of being a master of comedy left no room for further doubt. He made it clear that he is ready to embrace the stage with the full spectrum of comedic styles at his disposal.
Amidst this spirited conversation, fellow celebrities rallied behind Crazy Kennar, offering words of encouragement and support. Jalang’o, a fellow entertainer, chimed in with, “Uwezane usiwezane bora umefanya! Hatujawahi shindwa!”
MC Jessy, another well-known comedian, shared a motivational message, saying, “Macha ya Chira hayakumzuia Ng’ombe kunywa maji…. na Wakistaajabu ya Musa hawajaona ya Kennar. I know you can… Go do it, Kennar. 👊🏽”
Radio personality Carol Radull added her voice to the chorus of support, saying, “Hey! Don’t even defend yourself here. Kenyans are sooo negative all the time. Just do you and let your work speak for you. So far so very very good. I am a fan! 👊🏽”
