Wanjiku Kabuchi, a lady from the Mount Kenya community, has expressed regret for not listening to former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s advice against voting for the current regime.
In a TikTok video that has since gone viral, Wanjiku claimed that the community is now suffering more than any other community in Kenya.
According to Wanjiku, the high cost of living in Kenya has been imposed on the people by the current government, and the people of Mount Kenya are feeling it the most.
“Mount Kenya people it is like we were cursed or we wronged our great grandfathers. We said we didn’t hear anything to do with Uhuru Kenyatta. But currently, we are all suffering and let me say it, I think in Mount Kenya we are feeling it the most.. Azimio supporters, hello,” she said.
This comes as Azimio Coalition leader hold demonstration in various parts of Nairobi as they seek to see govenrment lower the cost of livings.
Currently, Raila Odinga has managed to mobilize his supporters to cause disruptions in the capital, Nairobi, as well as other areas such as Kisumu town, Homa Bay town, and Kibra constituency.
The protests have been dubbed #Maandamano.
